The Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve was established on 1990 in order to preserve the nature and landscape of the Danube Delta. The reserve is a mosaic of water and land, made up of innumerable lakes, channels and islands right were the Danube flows into the black sea. The Danube Delta is Europe’s largest wetland and reed bed.
